Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the Sponsorship Account Manager will be responsible for:
Pro-active sourcing of potential partners (sponsors and preferred suppliers)
Management, direction and delivery of all incumbent partners’ contractual rights (with their agencies, both internal and external)
Ensuring all sponsors are integrated and achieve their business objectives
Developing and presenting creative and bespoke partnership proposals
Establishing a permanent market presence for the overall brands and their sponsorship inventory
On-going management of sales leads to help achieve annual business objectives and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
The role will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Management of all contractual rights and work with sponsors to deliver their activation goals
Creatively and strategically use sponsorship assets to build and demonstrate innovative marketing programs which will add genuine value to potential clients and the Varsity Sports properties as a whole
Create activation proposals for sponsors that align with their strategy
Be the central point of contact internally and externally for all partner related activity
Management of debrief documentation and presentations
Dealing with ad hoc client requests and real –time delivery challenges
Management of process to ensure ROI/ROO are accurate and presented back to partners
Guide the development of leverage plan with the intent to maximise ROO
Ensure the digital, communications and other internal teams are fully aware of all campaign activities of sponsors
Lead on delivering all commercial rights in relation to the sponsor’s contract at all levels
Liaise with university event organisers and to ensure implementation and application of sponsor rights.
Developing leads with prospective sponsors and building an industry network
Development of bespoke presentations, including market research and data to build a powerful and persuasive proposals based on the marketing objectives and the business needs of potential sponsors
As part of the Commercial and Marketing team, working closely with other streams of business – S4U, Asem Corporate, Asem Engage, etc.
Formulation and management of budgets aligned to strategy
At least five years’ experience in high value business to business sales
Development of relationships with key decision makers at multinational brands
Project management experience is advantageous with clear evidence of delivery within tight timescales.
Understanding of conventional and digital media platforms

Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management
Ability to work efficiently on their own initiative, both as an individual and as part of a team
Excited by challenges and motivated to find solutions that work for all parties
Excellent IT Skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
Educated to relevant degree level
